Going to have to tape them up if you aren't willing to sand them after the fact.

I'd tape them and keep a wet sponge/cloth right next to you wipe up and areas that would get sprayed, just in case.

Tape them off very carefully and make sure the tape is stuck down all of the way so paint doesnt get underneath
