About to install springs...what if the LCA bolts snap??
I'm about to install my Neuspeed race spring, and KYB setup this weekend. I keep hearing horror stories about these LCA bolts. What do I do if they break or just won't budge?? I'm going to be using standard hand tools, nothing special.
One of the bolts snapped on my LCA. I live near a Honda dealership and they were able to press the old bushing out. I had to pay a couple of extra bucks for the bushing, but it was better than waiting a few days for a new LCA to arrive.
Also, I brought my rear shocks there too, to remove the bolt that sits on top. I didn't have any power tools with me. They didn't charge for that. Good luck.

Get new bolts before doing the installation. They're not too expensive...maybe a couple of bucks each.
edit: ok...never mind my headless remark. I also found out that the header-to-cat bolts are around $8 from A&H too. I keep forgetting how expensive these bolts are.

If you want factory bolts they're like $10 each. I went and bought a couple of 10x1.25x80mm hex bolts from Pep Boys for $1 each plus a couple of washers, just in case, but luckily I didn't need it. I soaked the bolts w/ PB Blaster and used an electric impact wrench, and they came off w/o a hitch.
