Im going for an all motor set up and want to know whats the best tranny?

My set up:
LS/Vtec
B18 bottom end with ITR pistons bored .20 over
CTR cams
ITR crank
ITR intake mani
ITR TB
OBD 1 conversion w/chipped P28
Stock 99 B16 head
Stock valves but cleaned and reseated
H/I/E

All dropping into an 88 HF crx

*I got a deal for a YS1 w/LSD, Y1, S1, J1.
Car will not be driven on freeways, due to low ratio gearing
Can someone suggest the best all motor tranny? Thanks.

 

I'd go with either a YS1 or a S1/J1 (with a LSD).

 

any cable tranny that has the diff pin replaced..........

**** if u already know this is not gonna be a freeway car go with the ys1...it will blow away any other cable tranny on the streets...if u decide not to go with the ys1 with lsd send the deal over this way...ive been searching high and low for a good ys1

just make sure ur not gettin gipped with an ls tranny

Vtec YS1 tranny's rock! the jdm ones with lsd are top of list.

 

i got a Y-1 LSD for sale, let me know this thing is the ish!

 

i got a j1 ....and if it blew id buy another one

 

i have the jdm ys1 with factory lsd, best cable trans i have ever had. internally i think it is more like the hydro trans. only problem is finding one of these jems, it took me 6 months of searching and i paid $800 for it.

 

get a ys1 vtec tranny (92-93 gsr) or a y1 lsd

 

yup YS1 is the way to go, or be cool like me have get a cusco LSD installed in it.
