Default putting back the parts (inside) blower motor? 88 prelude

hello:

a mechanic replaced my blower motor (& switch) a couple months ago on my '88 honda prelude Si, 4sw.

recently there was a loud rumbling when i turned on along with weak air flow. i removed the blower housing, wheel, small black plastic duct & unplugged it). i found the "blower wheel" to be full of, what looked to me like some sort of insulation; gray with flecks of blue, red, etc.

i removed the debris & wiped clean. this helped a lot, but there was still a lil rumble so i removed the "middle silver diaphram" (motor?) via the 2 long screws that insert into the housing, & removed any debris, etc. [prob. shouldn't have, nor prob. had to, but i wanted to make sure it was clear since i was "in there". :{

>> i have 2 questions...

1) i can't seem to get electrical current to blower. so i again removed the "middle silver diaphram" (motor?) held in by 2 longer screws to the black housing.

there r 2 small silver squares attached to copper wire + 2 springs. there r also 2 slots...
DO THE SQUARES SLIDE INTO THE SLOTS? they ARE NOT there right now. & WHERE DO THE SPRINGS GO? they are loose.

2) before i removed the "middle silver diaphram" (motor?). the blower was still rumbling a little. when i pushed up on the black housing, it seemed to stop (or get a LOT better). the 3 mounting screws on the black housing only seem to get 'so' tight, thus the looseness may be causing a slight vibration (noise).

is that the way the screws are, or could the housing be stripped where the 3 screws insert?

thnx for any help,
frank
