Default how long is YOUR cat. converter

ok can i get some of you guys to do me a favor and measure the length of your converters. i would like to get measurements from a few different models and such.

the reason i ask is i am looking for one that may fit into my accord with an h22 using the h22s a-pipe and my accords exhuast. i cant use my factory cat because it only has 2 bolt holes at the a-pipe. i would prefer something that will bolt right in for me not something thats hacked and welded all up.

TIA to anyone that will do this for me.

Are you looking to buy one that just bolts up or are you going to take it to an exhaust shop and have it put on there? The reason I ask is because I did the same swap just a couple of months ago and used a magnaflow universal one. Here's the link to the one that is recommended for a 94 prelude

http://www.car-sound.com/catal....aspx

I used the 53006, it's a 2.5" and then I had it welded in. They will weld flanges on so you can bolt and unbolt it from the car for a few extra dollars just ask. You can get one on ebay for $50 shipped to you, that's what I paid. Anyway hope that helps you out.

maybe im not understanding you right but if the proiblem is that you only have two bolt holes cant you just drill another and make your stock cat fit?

No you can't just drill a hole to make it fit. Both flanges are completely different and there is no way to get them to bolt up. I have heard that a cat from the same year Prelude will work but the cost of one compared to the universal one and weld it up was cheaper, at least from what I found.

ok if this make it easier to understand heres a pic

on the right is what the stock accords front converter flange looks like. left is the prelude. i am using an a-pipe with the flange on the left from the prelude, so my stock cat is not an option.

i just need to know how long any prelude converters with the left flange are so i will know if any will be the correct size to fit between my a-pipe and exhuast. is that clear enough

ur not gonna find a cat that will fit right on w/o rewelding either the downpipe or the b-pipe, the downpipe is way longer than the accord one. just get a universal one and have it welded on, it will be the cheapest

or if u really want, get any preldue cat, so u can bolt it on to the downpipe, then have the b-pipe rewelded to length

well im not running stock exhaust piping after the cat. im using an exhuast off a 5g accord on my 4g and the b-pipes are different lengths. so im hoping by some chance a stock cat will fit. all i need is a measurment

someone must have a cat laying around they can measure up for me.
