Short shifter
They're all adapters and also a good way to mess up your synchros. Is it really worth it? If you really think it is try Pure or DC sports. If you're lucky you may be able to find a nice C's short shifter(This one isn't an adapter).
i've been searching for a short throw as well and can only find adapters, and from what I hear those aren't worth it at all. I'll keep looking, but if you find some, please let me know. Thanks
Is the 92 a 4th gen? Pardon my ignorance. When it comes to short shifters in a cabled trans, they all perform the same function....moving the cable higher in the arc of the lever. A welding shop can attach a tab to your stock shifter for $10-20. How much faster does a short shifter shift anyway????
For me it's not all about the shfting time even though that is nice, but I like the feel and look of it too. Could you explain more in depth what you were talking about as far as the tab(i.e. how to do it). Thanks!

I've never figured out how that makes any sense.

The short shifting adaptors (only forward/reverse) are just moving the cable/shifter point higher. If you remove your shifter, you'll see the mount is a tab welded to it with holes to secure the cable end. Remove the mount (make a new one) and have it welded an inch higher (being sure not to make it too high the console won't fit)...a short shifter.... On the civics and integs, it is almost as easy, a .75-1 inch extension is welded to lower the shifter/rod position between the rod/link and the ball that the shifter is secured to the body by....
I fogot how the trannie cables are mounted, but if you could move the mounting holes inward on the trannie, you could have short shifts both forward/back and side/side......
I haven't done any of these mods, but they are seemingly simple with a welding shop at the ready...
