Default Headlight assembley

Alright, I've been looking at some gallerys here & there. I have noticed a few EKs without the amber mold inside of the headlight. I searched high & low on ebay for a headlight replacement without it, I found nothing. So my question to you is, are these people just removing the casing & somehow removing the orange amber stripe? I'm now beginning to beleive its not attached to the headlight completely or something. Anyway I might be way off, but if not please do give more insight. Thanks.

You should be able to remove the amber strip when you take the lenses off.
