Default My CRX Times at BOTI Chicago

Well on Sunday I was able to run my car at Battle with no problems at all. Saturday I couldn't run because my drivers side axle boots were ripped and spewed all the grease out. So Sunday morning I got it done and headed out to 66 at like 2. Showing up late was not that bad, I actually got 5 runs in with only being there a couple hours. Last time at 66 I got 2 runs for a test and tune.

Here are the slips.

First run of the day, I fucked up and grinded the **** out of second.

Second run 15.1 since my best time ever was a 15.5

Third run 15.0 since my time got better

Fourth run 14.9 it got even better

Fifth run 15.0 it was still faster than my previous best

Right now I don't think the times are the best, but they are better than my times before. I know I should be able to hit a mid 14, since I did have some tire spin. Again this was only an B18a1 with 130hp and 121tq stock in a CRX. I only have a cold air, test pipe, exhaust, and bald 555r's.

Next year I plan to have a different setup since my motors tired, it has 160k and is in need of something new.

This was the car for those who were there.

clutch is newer maybe 10k on it, but its 99.9 percent daily driven miles.

It's the driver for the most part of it, on the track I haven't been the best by any means, but on the street I can drive it great. Traction at the track has been the biggest problem, launching at 4k has been decent but I still get wheel hop and tire spin. So I need more time at the track to see what it can actuall do.

Mine blows a little bit of oil but it mostly gets burned out by the time it hits the end of the exhaust. My friend had the same set up with a b16 tranny and he was getting low 15's all day but the car was acting up on him.

I used the stock hf harness, and using hcp mounts.

nothing at all, with an si or hf harness all you do is plug it in, but if you had a dx thats when you have to do some wiring.

So I am guessing it is OBD0 right and you can just plug and play? You only had to buy mounts? WOW I did not know that. I was thinking it was way harder than that. Witch integra was OBD0?

will they let you run at a track like that?

I would think that they would call it maybe a hazard or something....wont **** get on the track....just wondering, not trying to call anyone out...I have never tracked my car before.

I think everything from 15 and quicker are pretty fast already.

And great that you're running almost stock B18.

Yup its obd0, I like it since it is plug play. Just the aftermarket mounts and shift linkage were the only thing needed. Since it is an hf I needed different front wheel hubs, so when I swapped I converted all of the front and rear suspension from a 90 Integra.

The only time they will say anything about spilling something on the track is if its a noticeable amount.

YS1 close ratio with lsd. Right there should get you closer to mid 14's. But yea, spend some more time at the track. Practice makes perfect

get some better tires and practice launching...if you improve your 60f/t's you'll improve your time.
