Default Proof of the serious power of Hondata

Here's about 15 mins worth of tuning with the Hondata unit coupled with a true IN-CAR wideband O2 unit that we have in-house - custom built unit. It took about 3 runs on the freeway to nail a near perfect 13.2 A/F without a dyno. Notice the intake charge temps:

Baseline:

After 3 runs:

The output of the wideband O2 is actually fed into the Hondata and it has the ability to log it and convert it to lambda or A/F.

Here's the Hondatalogger recording:

Hondata has the feature to hook up a wideband O2 sensor to it, and tell it what your target AF is, you make a run, and it tells you how far you are off by, make changes, and you have the perfect AF ratio...then you go to a dyno to tune the gears and other items in...

G3 - TEG,

Can you give any insites to this custom wideband 02 sensor? Did you guys make it yourselves? If so can you give details on how to make it and what is needed? How do you like this 02 sensor compared to others you have used??

I take it this is a Stage 4 set-up?

Personally, I have no need for "launch control", eh? I know the Hondalogger is an "option", but for NA applications, isn't a Stage 2 (with Hondalogger) adequate?

Looks good Crescent, I'll be visiting you and Dave up in Bellingham this summer to get a hondata setup.

For fuel and timing tuning (and vtec, redline etc) then yes - a stage 2 is really all you need - the datalogging option shouldn't be overlooked.

Keep in mind that only a dealer or someone with a stage 4+ can tune them though.. so if you do get a stage 2 or 3 unit, then you'll have to have someone to tune for you.

G3-TEG :---- where did you guys get your IN-CAR wideband O2 unit ?
I would like to get one !
What was the cost ?

Question :- After you guys got your "PERFECT" A/F setup did you guys burn the chip to those settings ?

Did you go to the dyno before and after to see how much power you guys made ?
