why would u have to get VIN verification from DMV?
my gf bought a car about a month and a half ago from a small dealer, but she has never recieved her lic plates...dude said it would be here in 2 weeks or so...she calls the dealer and they tell her that the car needs to be taken to DMV to get vin verified b4 the papers can go through...i called the dude back and ask why wasnt this done b4 the car was sold, he couldnt really answer me...my gf and i havent had time to go to dmv to do this because we both work and go to school the same time dmv opens...the guy offers to come pick the car up and do it himself so we can the plates and papers...it started to sound fishy to me for some reason...is this something i should worry about?....why would it need vin verification from dmv?
are you serious? You need to take it to the DMV to register the car under your/your gf's name or else the dealership still owns the car. Is this your first time buying a car?
