What final drive do you have and what's the rev limit?

Yeah ok... 23x8" will be a good match then.

hey soda, are you running a K20A-R??
If so even try a 24.5.. I managed to run 112mph in 4th on the 24.5 if you go to the 23 you might end up in 5th, plus if you start to mod the motor and get more power the 23 will be to small..
Good luck..

Interesting, i'd be scared to over slick. Recently some guy on k20a.org ran 12.2 with some 23s. Hell with all the money im spending right now on this swap i doubt im going to do much work beyond this motor tuned.

Thanks for the replies fellas.

Hey 1 2 NV why dont you drop the b and go K series, Hondog ran a simlar time to yours with a k20aR motor and now runs 11.3 with just cams and i think some headwork.

If you can stay in 4th go 22x9, you'll be flying. It goes against what alot of people say but i've tested countless times. If it doesn't work go with the 23's. With the power your making I think 24-24.5 are over slicking your car. I've been in your shoes with 250whp & 170trq and 24.5 are too big.

Are most of you choosing the taller slicks due to gearing limitations? I was at a little under 400whp and on 24.5's I would run 2 tenths slower(60'-330' suffered) than on the 22's and I actually had more fun driving the 22's as well. Next setup will be near or at 500whp and I think I will even start w/ a pair of 22' and see what happens. I was trapping anywhere from 118-121 on them @ 8400-8500 on a gsr tranny.

in my situation i swapped to lighter wheels, PG rockers, new IM and bigger TB. i thought i would see a power increase to compensate for a 24.5" slick. i was wrong, i overslicked.
i would trap at roughly 9k in the 1/4 @115 on 23s, ITR tranny on JDM FD.

226whp and 155tq , I run 22x9.5x13 and i feel my times woulda been better had i stuck with the 24.5's. I have a 4.4 final drive andam probably around 2200-2400 w/driver. When i had my smaller motor 196whp and about 140tq i ran consistant 8.1's in the 1/8 now with about 30whp more and about 15tq more i only run 8.0's on my 22x9.5's. I having alot of trouble getting my setup dialed in though. im running consistant 1.75 60's but feel i should be in the 1.6's.
