GSR:
170hp
about same weight
no limited slip
1.8L

Hmm.....looks like you will lose.

 

Those 2.5's are nothing to scoff at. stock for stock they will pull decent.

 

I've seen a stock Spec V run a 15 flat, he'll win.

also my friend's stock gsr ran 15 flat.

I vote gsr if you can reeeaaalllly drive and get out of the hole ahead of him... all his torque is gonna bone you HaRd if you dont get moving.

Don't forget the huge advantage the spec v has in torque, 180lbs-ft.

 

ya but your forgetting the GSR revs Higher so You get more out of each gear

No doubt that the GSR has more potential by far, but stock for stock it looks like a given.

 

spec v = slow i've got faith in honda

i have a 94 gsr teg..my friend has 02 spec v.....before i got my b20 bottom... ( ihavent raced him since my swap)..but before, i would always beat him...evening w/me burning oil thourhg the rings....1st gear take off, is where u got to hit it right..cuz they got excellent tq....but its funny...when were in 1st gear...he's already shifting to 2nd...and im still in 1st...lol..i love that!..but i never lost outta like 15 races...

ok, one of my friends has one and he was neck and neck with my buddy's b 16 crx with pistons, overbore, cams, head, and valve train. the SE-R has some stuff done to it but it was still f-in fast. i would be careful, and if its an R-tune, u gunna get smoked, sorry
