Default Different Oil when Boosting?

I just heard that you're supposed to use a different oil when boosting - Is this supposed to be some "thicker" oil or something?

i wouldn't use a thicker oil, but i would use one that can take a higher temperature

From what I've always been told, use the weight of oil your engine was designed for. ie, bearing clearances
