HELP: Offset on 19" wheels
Help somebody help me with my problem Ihave a 2000 honda accord sedan I want to install 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear i dont know what offset i will need. please help me on these thanks
Are you changing the suspension? That's too wide for a Honda. If your looking for a wider look, then go with a 19x8 and put a 235/35 or a 245/35. A 8.5 or 9 is too wide for a Honda. You will usually see sizes like that on full size cars or rear wheel drive cars who's suspension is made to handle that. Go with a wider tire and a 19x8, because if your not upgrading you suspension, you will have problems down the line, and with rims that wide, they will stick out past the lip of your wheel wells. And I know you don't want the 4x4 look!!!!!
I think 18's are the most appropriate size for a 6th gen Accord if you want to go big, they start looking really weird soon after.
And you realize it's a Front Wheel Drive car right, and you're putting a larger wheel in back?
I'd go no larger than 7.5" width, but that's personal preference. I've never seen any wheel larger than 8" on an Accord and I figure there's a reason.

assuming 6th gen suspension setup is the exact same as the 4th-5th, the rears cannot be that wide w/o a smaller offset (and thusly rolled fenders).....theres a suspension component (not sure exactly what its proper name is, but its some sort of control arm/linkage) that hugs the coutour of the tire -anything beyond 7.5 or so will make contact with that, and thusly wont fit.....damn mcpherson mutli link.....

Well, 19x8 will fit well if you have the right tire on it but, i agree. The 6th gen should probably go with 18's unless you get a smaller width (7.5) and lower the car between 1.75-2.00, but regardless whether you go 18 or 19, to make it look right your going to have to lower it. So 19x7.5 or 18x7.5 would be your best bet... The 7th gen has bigger wheel wells and looks better with that big of a wheel....But with special mods, you could squeeze 19 or 20 on there. But you would have to put a kit on it, lower it and roll the fender wells and mod the suspension. Are you willing to go that far just to make a certain wheel fit?????

thanks for helping me man my current rims is already 18 inch i wanted to upgrade it to 19 inch please check out the links that i have posted accords with 19 inch rims thanks
And if you look, some of those are ugly as sin.
1. Why are you putting WIDER wheels in the REAR
2. Why are you putting wheels so wide in the car in the first place?
3. Do you know how much these wheels weigh? You could snap wheel studs, lose gas mileage and acceleration....

Sweet pics, I have a 7th gen cpe, lowered on 20x7.5's with a 225/35/20. I will post them when I get them developed. I see where your going with this, but you must be sure you know whats all involved. I wouldn't recommend 20's on a 6th gen. accord, but 19inch is good just as long as it's going to be safe for your car. In some car shows, they modify the suspension to handle the weight of a wheel that big and wide. My car's wheels are 30lbs each that's with the tire on it. So I didn't have to change anything under my car. Just be careful, it could look good when you put them on, but it can damage stuff in the long run. I say, go 19, but I wouldn't go over a 19x8.
That 4door 05 accord on 20's is kickin ***!!!!!
I have a 03 2dr. The only thing I don't like about it is he stretched a 225/35 on a 8.5. I personally wouldn't go 20x8.5, I have 20x7.5, but if I did, I would put a 245/30/20 on mine. That way you don't have to stretch the tire and the profile is the same, just the width of the tire is a bit wider. But dam nice pic though. I'm glad to see someone other than myself, do a 7th gen accord right!!!

I'm not arguing with you on that one, I agree that the 7th gen wheel wells really eat up wheels and you need a good set of 19's or 20s, but the 98-02 accords aren't meant to have wheels that big at all....I'd say 18's are pushing it.
The problem is the size and shape of the wheel well, esp if you look at I think the 3rd link down, you'll see the guy looks like he drives with his tire ON the fender....not too good of an idea I think....
Huwag na, masisira lang yung kotse mo pare...what's more ang PANGIT...do you want to break down in the middle of EDSA?

Don't you think a 19x7.5 or 19x8 would fit good? The second link has 8's in the front and 8.5's in the rear. I don't agree with the 8.5 on the back, but I think the 8 will work with no problems.

I've always been a fan of long blades, ( 5 bars, 6 bars, 7bars,) because they look good standing still or when your moving, they look like they're spinning backwards after traveling past 35mph. That's just me. Just make sure the rim fits the car,(I'm not talking about lug pattern, I'm talking about the design). The design has to look like it belongs on your car. One thing you can do is go to rimstop.com and click on build your dream car. You can type in the year, 4door or 2door, color, and put any wheel you want on your car. You can change rim sizes, even lower your car, and best of all,you can see them spin forward or backwards.

The Volk TE37's or the Work VSXX look great...I like the Work for the deep lip, and the TE37s because I think 6th gen accords should have larger spokes, but thats' my personal preference
My girlfriend is from Manila (Paranaque daw), her sister lives around by you because her brother in law grew up there.
