You dont use the JDM master switch...
You use the CF surrounding and modify it to allow the clearance for the AUTO drivers window function and the window lock.
Then, using zip ties or any way you desire, you must "lock" the CF plate onto the USDM master switch.
Hard to explain without visuals, I'll try to take pics when I re-dynamat my doors.

Exactly, my buddy don't have it no more so I don't have any pics.
If I remember correctly you should dissconect your battery so that you don't blow any fueses as well!
I am going to be doing the same thing soon as well!

hi, EnjoyTheRideDC2
I am very pleasure for looking your post. You teach me a lot. How about the on/off button? How to make it fits?
I am waiting your pics a.s.a.p. and I will make the same way as you.
Actually, I want to change the electric wire for changing the R / L sides difference. If I can find the JDM service manual (RHD), I think that I can solve this problem.
Thanks again......

Ummm...on my DC4 I used the master switch as well as the CF......and I didn't need to hack into the CF part or use any zip ties...:
here's two pics

no problems whatsoever

There is a BIG difference in the wire-iring of a coupe a.k.a DC4/DC2 compared to the sedan a.k.a DB8. It is not a plug and play for the jdm DB8 sedan switches into a usdm sedan. It will not work, and you will always blow your fuses. Unless you want to re wire all the way to under the dash. Or you can just pop off your usdm switches and attach them on the faux carbon plate and make it work!

If I can find out the front L & R side switch's wires. can I change them to solve this button problem?
I have usdm service manual, if I get the JDM service manual, I think I can solve this problem (may be or not)
Thanks

I figured there might be since its split up between two doors on each side
But to make it work....wouldn't you have to use a dremel or something because the problem I ran into with the JDM CF plates while trying to use the USDM master switch was that the "screw holes" on the JDM CF plate will not line up properly with the USDM Switch. Hmmm.....

I belive that you can, but If I remeber correctly we thought that we would ruin the acutally plastic wire harness. I think that if you take your time, there shouldn't be a problem! If you could do a thread on it with pictures that would be awsome!

Yes you will have to modify the faux carbon plate a little! EnjoyTheRideDC2 is going to do the swap before I do, so hopefully he can get some pics up!

I personally used a dremel and took my time....Gimme a couple hours and i'll have a pic.,
Anyone know how to find the JDM integra service manual?
I know that I can buy from ebay, but I am willing to find the link to download it.
Anyone can help me?
I am sure that I need to change the electric wires according to the JDM circuit.

But that's only if you're doing what I did in using the JDM switches along with the covers. And the only reason I did it that way was because I did try the dremel thing so that I could use the USDM switch. It didn't work out too well...and I destroyed a perfectly good faux cf switch cover
If you didn't want to do all that....wait until EnjoyTheRideDC2 posts the pics up. That way, you can go off of what he did and you won't have to spend as much money or time in re-doing your wiring harness for the windows. You could if you want. Its not hard...but a pain in the ***. But if you have the patience....just use the dremel.

USE the USDM Switch! How is it harder to modify the CF surrounding as opposed to swappping wires and pins around?

looks good.....now.....all we need is the pic of the underside of the cf switch cover. Unless....the screw holes line up? Coz...I know for the DC ones they don't.
Thanks so much EnjoyTheRideDC2, ajantics and Naruto
You are nice guys
, you teach me a lot. I also want to post some pics on this page but I don't know how to upload pics.
I have same question for some button housing hole size. You help me to solve it. Thanks
You know, there is a 16 pin switch under the housing. What do you think if I can find out the JDM manual and USDM manual, I think that I can change the electric wires and then use the JDM switch. This is my dream. It doesn't matter for the front switches are changed way.
I don't want to use dremel to make some modification. If I make something wrong, the look will be so ugly.

Do you need to drill the USDM switch for mounting the CF plate?
If I can change the wires.... all the thing is original parts for these JDM CF switches. No need to drill anything.
I understand what you teach me. Thanks a lot.

lol you double posted the same pics
My question again was, what other modifications are done to the faux cf switch cover other than what you posted. I do know they screw into the switch assembly and from what I saw on the DC's, they won't line up at all if you're trying to use the USDM switch. So....with that in mind...do you have any pics of the underside of the cf switch cover? Or...do the screw holes line up in the DB's ( unlike the DCs ) ?

Yeah, I agree with ya. I got sucked onto the JDM bandwagon for a bit, but can now say I've hopped off and snapped back to reality.

well...it looks like a clean install. Hmmm.....so I take it people have tried to use the JDM switch and it did blow fuses.......hmmmm.....weird how it won't do that on the DCs.

hi all
I just want to ask you that I need to use the JDM all swtich parts because the front door panels which also are 98 JDM type r 4dr panels.
The perfect one which use the JDM switch too.
If I make some modifications, why I need to change it? I can use the original leather cover switch. (LS special)
Thanks
