Hey this problem started the other day.. these are the things that I noticed...

-Small amount of oil in the 3rd cylinder at the bottom... not much but there is a small amount...

-Valve Cover Seal Starting To Go Bad....

-I thought it would be the ignition coil so I replaced the coil and I bought new spark plugs and nothing got better that day...

-Then 2day I started the car and it sputtered out and died and i smelled gas from the intake filter... then i started it again while holding the gas down and it revved out and I drove it off and had no more problems revvin it to only about 3k or so before shifting gears...

-When i drove it back home 2day I tryed to rev it to see how it would respond and it would sputter when the revs got around 4k or so.... I dont know what else could be causing this problem...

-Any ideas?? I need 2 fix this problem ASAP... Thanks

sounds like it could be a timing issue. have cam gears? try pulling off the valve cover and check the cam phase (Even if you don't have gears)

 

i have stock cam gears... so your saying i should checkin the timing??

 

bump any other ideas?? Im going to check timing 2morrow morning.... any other possible ideas???

 

ok UPDATE.... I fixed the main problem... the tps sensor wuz loose... now no sputtering until i hit high rpms.. meaning 5k and up... any ideas why it would sputter now??

bump... now it is onyl sputtering ocasionally after 5k rpms and the tach goes crazy while the sputtering occurs... any ideas anyone??? plz... i need 2 figure this out...
