Default Modifying clutch pedal? *too long of a push*

The clutch pedal in my car is stupid long before it engages, and its bothering the hell out of me and I cant get comfortable driving it the way it is. So my question is, is it as simple as adjusting the screw forward to push the pedal closer to the firewall?

I have a cable tranny, so would moving the clutch pedal forward create slack and require adjusting?

Sorry, I sound like an idiot, but my DA pedals never felt like this and I cant get use to it.

Any help is appreciated

Is it engaging too high or too low? You can adjust the engagement point via the cable **** on the tranny. Follow the cable down to where it gets near the tranny, and there is a black plastic ****.

yay, i can provide helpful insight for once!

i was annoyed about the same thing, so here's what i did. there's a bolt, maybe an inch and half long, that controls how far from the floor your clutch pedal travels before it stops. this bolt is positioned by a nut that locks it against a bracket on the pedal assembly... the nut can be turned to adjust the distance. i simply took that nut out and cranked the bolt all the way down. this made the clutch pedal stop about 6-8 inches from the floor instead of 14 inches or whatever the ridiculous number is when stock. then i adjusted the clutch cable accordingly... it took a few hours of adjusting, driving, adjusting, driving, etc, to work with the smaller travel to get just right, but i wouldn't have it any other way. i've been driving this way for about 5,000 miles with no ill effects.
