Default How can I register my b18c swapped EG? Because I need to Smog it

I just traded my stock EK for this b18c swapped EG couple weeks ago. I have to smog the car to register it. I have no clue what to do because I know for a fact, that this car will not pass smog, because it is mildly built. How do people "BAR" their motors? Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated, I need to get this baby out on the road. I know you Cali residents got tricks up your sleeves, HOOK IT UP, PM me if you dont feel comfortable showing everybody. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Now my question is can people in the Bay Area pm me some places to get it smogged, ille*ally?

bayarea ppl that know spots that do illegal spots, PLEASE PM ME!!!!! i've been calling everyone i know and the only one i heard of is a spot in fairfield that charges 300 bucks so thats crap cuz i kno they go for 200 usually.

whats mildly built?

you have to go to the ref and get it bar'd and make sure you have the right ecu and smog equipment....unless you got 200 bucks to shell out for an illegal smog

I recently had to take my car to a state ref. which was at the Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga. I did have my stock motor in there, but it was a 98 civic dx, and i had a prelude motor in it, got pulled over got a ticket for having a modified device. I took the motor out, threw a civic dx motor in it. They never checked for my ecu or anything, i dont even think the kid knew what he was doing. He just made sure all of the Emissions were hooked up. Im assuming you can get away with just using a p28 ECU.

Not REF if theres another ecu. Get a USDM ecu, header, and smog stuff. Then make sure its running good and go see a ref.

i just bar'd my b16 eg today. As of September 1st. its now $98.75 for the whole thing. 90 for smog, and 8.75 for the certificate. It used to be only 38.75. All you need is to make sure your car will pass emissions, and have all the visual aspects taken care of. i.e. stock headers, intake, ecu, and correct vacumm routing.

yes you have to pay for smog there. thats the purpose of getting the car ref'd, it has to pass the visual test and emissions.

for under 200 bucks you can bar it and be legal and when you need to smog it again after that you wont have to keep paying 200 for it
