Searched......Now 2 questions about JDM carpets and wannabees.
Yes I've searched but all I see is WTB and FS ads.
Well here's my questions, I'm building a teg I got that got oil dumped all over from haters so now I need new carpet. If I'm going to spend money on carpet I mind as well spend the exrta bucks and get some red ones that I like.
First set of question is I see that JDM theory has some for sale at a decent price I guess for used ones. Does it fit perfectly? Any difference since car in Japan is right hand drive. I know this don't make a difference but does all the holes line up. What about that plastic thing right under you foot if you take the mats off, I guess they're on the passenger side now huh
no big deal on that though.
Second set of questions is I don't care about being 100% JDM or claim JDM. I just like the red carpet and see that there's tons of site making OEM red carpet replacements. Well are the holes cut up already or do you have to do it youself? Do they fit right at all, it seems like these shops are some domestic companies or pep boys stuff online. Any suggested website that sell copies and are good qualities.
Ok so here's the price.....
Used Red JDM carpet = $150
Used black USDM carpet = $80
New Red wannabees = $120
Recommendations anyone

Ok so what wrong with wannabees, the fittment or what? I not a hardcore JDM guy so it's cool with me know that it not true JDM. True that you have to cut your own holes, that sucks.

I have red carpet

It's made by ACC, they are the guys that advertise in those big magazines. It was supposedly made to Integra specs (it's not) but the fitment is pretty damn good. The only hard part is that there is no cut outs for the holes such as seats brackets, ebrake, center console...stuff like that, so you'll have to do that on your own. Also, this isnt a molded carpet, that is, it isnt molded to the exact contour of our cars. Because of that, the fitment around the edges (especially near your gas/trunk release) dont fit too well. It's a minor thing though and overall I'm really happy with it. I get compliments on it all the time and some guy offered to buy it from me. So, since you're not a hardcore JDM nut, I'd highly suggest buying one. Oh, check out Ebay. That's where I got mine. I think I only paid $110

not really digging the red carpet too much. i email jdm theory about the jdm carpet, beside the foot rest pad thing being on the passneger side, the cut out for the trunk/gas release will be on your passenger side, he told me that those were the only differences, so it just means you cut out a hole for your trunk release on the drivers side, and cover everything else up with the type r mats that you should get

i put a JDM ITR carpet in my teg, i hated the gray stained carpet, so i put in the "JDM" one because it was black (along with black GSR seats and door pannels). it fits perfect except your going to have to cut the carpet for the trunk/gas door release, cut a "X" so that the dead pedel will sit flush, and also under the radio/dash i had to cut it to fit in because it looks like the dash goes in first. it's also alot easier that way. downsides to the JDM carpet is that i have a hole on the other side where the trunk/gas door realease useto be. but black carpet looks a hell of alot better
Anyone has info to these companies like this link and how they fit. http://www.stockinteriors.com/...lId=1
Also anyone else heard of Canadian Red carpet???

red carpet looks hott IMO. As for me, I got a really good deal on e-bay. Both the type r carpet and the floor mats, bought both for $100 + around $20 shipping = $120 and they came from Singapore I think. Straight JDM baby
Just look on ebay and you'll find good deals there. Carpet alone is $100+ plus the floor mats are another $150 or so....
