Default Code 43

My 91 Honda recently starting having a miss in the engine but only below 2500 rpms. Above that seems to be fine and the car runs great. I checked the codes and got code 43 fuel supply system error. I have found about 20 different cases on the web of what it could be but none match the symptoms of my accord. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Vinny

He's right . Code 43 is usualy the O2 sensor. I suspect your miss could be a separate issue. If you replace the sensor and it doesn't throw another code, don't neccesarily expect the other problem to dissappear.

Maybe a vacuum leak? That could cause your code.

my mom's car does the EXACT same thing. code 43, it seems to be more throttle position related than rpm related. when you're barely giving it gas it feels like you're not getting enough fuel and sputters, but when you give it more throttle it accelerates normals, and then at high rpms it won't really mess up again, it's at low rpms + small throttle opening. did you ever find your problem?

The hesitation and sputtering is ignition related. Rotor, cap, plugs and wires. Fix the hesitation and clear your codes. Drive it 10 or 15 minutes and see if it sets another code. If your hesitation is gone but it still sets a code 43, replace the O2 sensor.
