Default A few Fuel related questions

ok, i have a '99 civic coupe ex. swapped in a 1999 LS swap, jumpered to OBD1. now, one of my problems (which i've had since i swapped it in dec.2004) is when i go get gas.. when i take the cap of the tank, i can hear that there is a good amount of pressure that is being released. when i fill it up and,put the cap back on and start it up however, it does not want to idle. it stalls out i have to hold the rpms at about 1500 for a few minutes. my question is this, would swapping out the stock civic ex SOHC fule pump for say a GSR fuel pump help? also, lately my car has been driving funny and it happens speradicaly(sp). if im at a low throttle level, say like 20-30%, the car starts to bog down as if it were out of gas. now, if i go and give it more throttle like 70% it jumps back up. i changed my fuel filter, added a pressure guage and my pressure is at 30-35psi. could this be a regualtor issue or even an injector issue? i am also throwing a code43 for this i might add, but the code star5ted popping up wen the the car starting its bogging thing. any information that may shed some light for me would be greatly appreciated.

TIA H-Techers

i think the fuel pump should be fine.. you might need to use an adjustable fpr to raise the pressure a little bit... seems like you need more fuel

try this.. remove the vacuum from the fpr and try to start the car like that... if it doesn't start, you might need to upgrade your fuel pump/fpr if it's a fuel problem

btw, did your car come with the fuel rail/injectors/fpr from the LS? if so it's most likely your fuel pump

yeah, i'd try the start without vacuum to fpr first just to confirm that your stock pump can/can't handle it
