hey iam new and i just bought a car..
i just bought a car...i got a 1997 honda civic DX hatchback with only 100000 for $3000......and i aint gona lie i wana be full out racing and i wana do so much to the car.......so does everyone but i was thinking of saving up for a B18c...and then hooking the car up.....or what do you think i could do?

I know what you should do...sell your car or trade your car for mines. Its a '93 LS Hatchback and you wouldnt need to do anymore work to it unless you wanna upgrade to a turbo!

full out racing and honda don't belong in same paragraph.....
use it as a commuter car and get yourself a rear wheel drive domestic....cheaper parts and last longer.
try drag racing.

u could turbo ur d motor but if it was my car i would save and do a B18C5 swap and then build and turbo or if ur a baller do a k20.

u have money go for k20.. that i would have done.. i seen k20 no turbo go low 11s on 1/4 mile.. or just buy ls.. swap the head w. b18c and then go turbo.. cost u half of the money that u gona put the k20 stock.. and u got 2xx-3xx whp depending on the turbo..

In what car? At Battle of the Imports this weekend in Joliet, IL, I saw an EG with slicks run 12.3's, and 12.5's on street tires. I didn't believe the hype before I saw it with my own 2 eyes, but low 11's?

thats a waste of money! For the same amount to go k20R and do it right. I went Built LS turbo for cheaper and I'm in the mid 11's trapping mid 120's You sir need to search before you become another victim of hypeR

LSvtec is a waste of money also unless you plan on makeing above 400whp. LS turbo is the way to go 400whp and under. Like i said, I'm running strait LS w/ stock LS cams. (hehe.. 20psi)

Actually I remember reading in import tuner that they are achieving some VERY low times in comparison to what hp numbers they were running from a k20-r in a honda insight due to the aerodynamics of that shell....

my friend has i/h/e and kpro and ran high 12's to 13.2 on BFG's But 11s? yea right
Maybe he is getting confused with dudeman that runs 11.1 in a K24 vtec w/ itbs and kpro and lots of other stuff (White CRX). But yeah, that car is gutted to the gills lol. I think his Uname is cheezefrog
