increasing red line?
I have a 98 jdm b18b (9.4 comp) and it red lines at 7500....I'm planing on taking the valve cover off and adding stage 1 cams! While I'm there what else should I change if I want to bring my red line to 8000 or so rpms???
Thanks!!! ( other mods I/H/full exhaust and cat with act heavy duty clutch plus short throw)

I know your going to tel me turbo the thing but I use my car alot and need reliability....plus I'm a big fan of NA and I got that engine put into my 2000 civic cause it's got steady torque troughout the rpms!!
So How do I do I bring the red line up...aprat from dyno tuning it!!! ?

you need to replace the whole valvetrain to increase redline and not blow your engine.
there is really no point in doing that, the engine would achieve max hp and torque way before the redline.

With tha said, would stronger cams and bringing my redline down to 7000rmps but dyno tuning so that every rpms is has prime has possible be the best deal?
Thanks ( has you can tel I'm learning has I go!!! )
