I've always wanted to know this. I was driving the other day, and my gas light came on 5 times, and I still didnt run out. How many miles when the light comes on do I have until it dies??

 

Ive went 50 miles before with a SOLID gas light... coming home from work with no $$$.

I took it easy, car felt the same in the low end.

It flickers on and off for the first 15-20 miles... so i would say overall you can get 60 or 70 miles (at sub-4K rpm).

My car gets great mileage though, so it could be different for higher power integras or untuned setups.

3 gallons....what the heck. There must be a reserve tank. ive put in 11.5 gallons before and thats with no gas light.

Yeah I think all Acura's have one (not sure what years), but the newer ones do for sure.

94-01 tank is 13. something Atleast I think. I have not had the guts to get it down to were the light will come.

 

its about 2 gallons....anything more is a serious risk.

 

I have never put more than 11 gallons in my car and it has been to the point to where it is putting, maybe it is because of the level of modifications that I have done to my car I don't know. Anyways before my car was turbo my gass light would come on and go off all the time I personally would not go by that, just go fill it up

 

If I fill up right when the light comes on the first time, it probably only takes me 10 to 10.5 gallons to fill up, and you know it's a 13.2 gallon tank.

If I go one way of my daily commute (50 miles each way) with the gas light on most of the time, it usually takes around 11.5 and sometimes closer to 12 to fill up.

Most I ever put in was like 12.2 to 12.4 or so.

 

I never reach 12 gallon before...mostly 11.5 gallon.....
