I've always wondered... I used to run 18 degrees timing (+2 adv.) on my B18B w/cams/bolt-ons with 92 octane, I dynoed with this setup. Then a year ago I switched back to stock timing and 87 octane so I could use cheaper gas. I didn't notice any real difference in the butt dyno but that doesn't really mean anything when we're talking like 1-2hp. Any ideas which setup would yield the most power? My setup:
B18B w/stock 9.2 C/R, 68k miles.
Crower 403 non-VTEC cams
Cam gears +2/-2
i/h/c/e, Hondata IM gasket
FPR/S-AFC V1
Stock 6900rpm redline
Dynoed at 148whp/126wtq.
