Hasport AC Bracket

that's the only compressor bracket I can find for my b16 swapped 90 hatch? Will it work, or not since it's for 92-00 civics?

Hasport makes one for the EF also, as does HCP.
I dont know why the Hasport one is not easy to find on their site..
but I believe that jdmshit.com has the hcp one. http://www.jdmshit.com/hcp/index.html

Not even close! You're not going to get the stock, single cam bracket to bolt to a B-series motor. Perhaps you are referring to using an Integra bracket. With this bracket, you can actually bolt the SANDEN compressor to a B-series motor using two bolt holes (or three if you fill, redrill, and tap the one hole that doesn't quite line up right). However, if you go this route, you will have to run a custom front crossmember, as the stocker is in the way of the compressor.

That is correct. If you have a Matsushita compressor, your ONLY option other than fabrication is Hasport's bracket. The HCP only supports Sanden and the B series stock bracket trick only works with Sanden (as noted above).

I'm in much the same situation. I've got a B18c in my 89 that originally had the Sanden compressor.
I've looked at what I believe is every factory bracket and there isn't one that allows all four bolts holding on the compressor to be installed.
The list of brackets I've looked at (and tried to test fit the compressor) are; A JDM bracket for the B motor EF, The P54 bracket that goes on the VTEC Del Sol (this is the one people swear works), and the bracket used on the CRV. In all cases, I had the bracket and compressor in hand at the time that I was looking at them. None of them would work with all four bolts!!
So, that pretty much means using the Hasport EFAC bracket or modifying a factory bracket by welding on tabs or a mounting plate. Although I've got the tools to do the fabrication, I don't think it would be worth the time required. I'm just going to suck it up and shell out the money.

Actually, my dad just turned 62, so he's still got you beat by a couple years. But then again, he's not out modifying Hondas.

To get real about modifying a bracket;
One of the reasons that I don't want to bother is that in order to do it correctly, the engine should be out of the car so that you can make sure that everything lines up correctly.
If I had a dummy engine, I'd think about doing it.
Then there is the fact that I'm already working on making up my own cross-member.

I used the PR3 bracket that came with the
B16 modified as described with Sanden compressor and was able
to use the stock crossmember after making a small dent
in the stock crossmember with a BFH..
This was accomplished using Hasport mounts...
{Your results may vary using other mounts/vehicles }

the hasport barcket is a super quality peice!
i wouldnt skimp on bolts for such a heavy peice. the bracket was designed to be supported be all four bolts so they didnt sheer off form the vibration/eight of thr compressor.
i live in AZ i dont need ac!
