hmmm, good question. You might be able to find a obd1 dizzy and switch connectors, and switch alternators. But then I wouldn't know about the injectors. bump for some answers. Or you could just get a vtec engine harness from a Si hatchback, and cut and switch connectors where you would need to.

He can use the B18c5 harness and leave all obd2 stuff on the engine and the harness will directly plug into his chassis harness and everything will work. Depending on the model car he may have to run the wires for vtec but thats it.

As far as the jumper harness goes, what year car is the engine and ecu out of?

No you do not need a conversion harness for p28. its OBDI and it will plug right in.

I have one for sale see my Sig

how would the b18c5 harness plug into the chassis if the harness is obd2 and the chassis harness is obd1? wouldn't he have to switch plugs?

a B18C5 engine harness will plug into an obd1 civic/ 94+ integra chassis harness. if you don't have a B18C5 engine harness, i would use the stock civic engine harness, then find an obd1 dizzy and altenator. then i would use my stock injectors for everything to plug in. i hate messing with wiring.

and you WONT need a jumper harness. unless you NEED to upgrade to OBDII for emissions purposes, go with a chipped p28.

if you don't know weather or not your p73 is obd2a or 2b, search the net for pictures of the ecu plugs and see which one matches yours

Hah next good point! Emissions!!! Sorry not following that fast, so from what I understand the Obd1 is one oxygen sensor ( on a cat ) than I am getting the OBD2b engine which has two of them ( Header and cat??? ) now, with my harnes being of the 94 ex and me wanting to use the p73 I will need the obd1 to obd2 harness unless I will take the chiped p28 ( which is the ex ecu?? ) and then run it without harness? Am I right???

Now how will I llok at the emissions???

I think so. When people's secondary o2 sensor goes bad, all they get is a cel, without any loss in performance. It's just there as a check. So if you are OBD-1, it will just kinda sit there, serving no purpose.

yea obd2 has 2 o2 sensors. But the engine you are getting shouldn't come with any o2 sensors. If your car was 96+ then it would have the 2nd o2 sensor already. The p28 should plug right into your harness, then you are ready to go, you will need a chip or fuel management of some sort cause I don't think you can just run a p28 map on B series without a chip or hondata or something (chrome, uberdata). Yes you are right if you want to use the p73 you would get a obd1 to obd2(a)or (b) A is 96-98 B is 99-00. But your best bet is to get a p28, OBD2 sucks. That's why people always try to convert to OBD1

What about emissions??? What are the advantages of obd1 over the obd2?
