Default paint for valve cover

My jdm swap came with a slightly scuffed up valve cover. Anyone know how to fix this? Tried Pep boys and got some high temp red paint. Color is slightly off and it didnt adhere properly. Anyone have a solution?

Default Re: paint for valve cover (2001silvergsr)

try powder-coating it i have done it to two of mine and it turned out great. it will not peel off and very heat resistant than spray paint. only thing is it is expensive. if you plan to powder-coat i suggest bringing other items along with it and do it the same time. like calipers, nuts, bolts, hangers, suspension parts, stuff like that
