Default short ram intake..

My girl wants to get an intake for her Prelude. Figuring that i'd rather spend more money into my car than hers, i looked on the wonderful world of eBay. Found some intake systems for as cheap as $30. I know that you pay for what you get for but then again, she's not going to need an AEM or anything.

The question is does anyone have these or have any experience? Thanks...

Apexi filter - but I agree.

AEM - too expensive for nothing. My brother just purchased an AEM short ram for his car - it looked like ***. All it is is a pipe - they even had after weld in the charge pipe.......go buy two exhaust pipes from autozone - wet sand really quick.......just to get out that crap - and throw it on your car with a filter......better performance IMO.

i bought a full cold air intake on ebay and it pretty good for the price. it wasnt a perfect fit, i had to cut the pipe with a metal hand saw but that took like 10 min. the sound is really good. and im satisfied. if i were you i would buy it for your wife and tell me how it goes if you buy it! oh yea i also have a 98 prelude

the filter would b your only weak spot when buying the intake off of ebay. a pipe is a pipe so u can't go wrong. the filters they come with are usually quite cheaply made, and can actually b dangerous cause they won't filter the air with quality. going out and getting a k&n or the apexi (my choice) will solve that problem so now u have nothing to worry about.
