Default CTR cams on High comp

Yesterday i found out my motor is burning oil. When I went for my normal oil change almost nothing was in there (1/2 quart). My vtec still kicked hard but i was noticing the engine sounded alot "rougher". I wont kno how much damage i've done until i take off the head but its running fine after i changed the oil. I dont think the rings were sealed properly after the rebuild or could it be the AZ heat? Anyway...

I'd rather just do a light ls/build than re-hone my b16 if my sleeves are damaged. I would like to gain some more hp along with the TQ but i really cant spend more than 1k. If i ran CTR pistons in the ls block i would get somewhere around 12:8:1 comp correct? The reason I'd be using such a high comp is because one of these days i'll buy some skunk2 pro2's...I'm just waiting to see how they perform.

I want to throw in some CTR cams but im not sure if my stock b16 springs/retainers can handle the extra lift. Also how do you think the cams will run on the high comp?

Yes ur b16 valvetrain can handle ITR/CTR cams. And they should be fine with that cp.
