Default Need some advice for a friend....Break-in with DSM 450cc and stock ecu?

Alright well my friend just built a ls-vtec, i helped him and got him most of the info he needed and he had a engine builder build it for him, so now its almost time to put it in, and he plans on using DSM 450c injectors and just turning the pressure down with a Fuel Pressure Regulator to break-in the motor. After break-in it will be turboed. Will this work? i dont think it will personally, i believe it will wash the cyl walls, i dont know too much about fuel pressure or anything, but using the 450cc injectors how will the fuel be cut?

Gimme some advice to give him, I told him to just get some stock injectors and break it in that way, but he insists on using the DSM injectors.

It'll barely start or idle, and driving it won't be much fun either. It's just asking for headaches, and turning the pressure down could make the problem worse.

What he said. Just wait till he turbos it to add the injectors. Even 450s may be a bit much on a stock block with low boost and no fuel management.

Good. When you start a new motor, you need the AFR's to be PERFECT as soon as possible. I wouldn't dream of starting a new motor with anything but stock injectors.
