Guy selling a 96 teggie vtec (guessing the gsr model) two door hatch just need a paint job(thinking of type-r yellow???) think he said 23k miles not for sure. But all that for 3200! He said he got it check out at a dealer and he replaced pretty much everything on it. He said something about him going back to South Africa and he doesn't want to pay to bring it over there, but the only bad side is he put a superman s on the hood it with this ricer body kit!(guess i can get a oem front, rear, side bumpers?) and it just primed. All for all should i spend the 3200 for it or let this one go? Oh and i'll post pics of it later on today.

 

23k miles on a 96? does he not drive it at all. ask him what hes done to the car, ask a friend or pay a mechanic to inspect the car to see what condition it is in.

Some custom exhaust so the pipes can come in the middle, and intake, some interior mods(He didn't say what) the body kit, the ricer taillights. But he said he babied it because he did all the simple mods himself(But anybody would say that to sell a car, or maybe he did???)

What type of title is the car? Clean? Salvage? That's a very low price. As long as you get it checked out yourself, and it's good, then go get it.

 

$20 on that car detonating within 6 months.

 

It's a clean title, the guy doesn't really want to sell it, i just asked him. First he wanted 5500 and said that he been going down on the price so when i said 3200 he was like ok.

 

If it's too good to be tr.. oh hell, you have your heart set on it. I don't know why you asked us if you're not gonna listen.

at least carfax it to see if anything is wrong. If the car doesnt work out, at least you can part it.

 

Why don't YOU go get it checked out? Him telling you he got it checked out doesn't mean anything. Bring it to a mechanic if you don't know what to check. Nobody should ever buy a used car unless they check it out fully themselves. Drive it, inspect it (visually and mechanically), then drive it and inspect it again.

If you're gonna buy it without looking at it, then I also have an Integra to sell you. It's only $1000 and it's a 2001 GSR.

 

for $3200..... GUARENTEE there's some sort of problem with it, paint will cost you another $1600.....If it were myself personally i'd buy it, get the vtec compression and leak tested.....part off the rest of the car.....and then buy a teg that's more reliable....but for sure have a mechanic check er out, either way tho i'm positiveu can get your money back parting it out

First check out the mileage on the carfax. If it's over 23k then you know what he did.

 

i will half to agree with everyone.. $3200 and only 23,000 miles???? hmm.. can you say rollback.

if its riced out, then its been beat the Fu*K up.

new body parts, paint is gonna cost you atleast $2000 minimum.

have it carfaxed, check previous owners on mileage, accidents, etc...

have it checked out by a dealer, compression test, leak down test, have any codes checked. spark plugs and their condition.

***TAKE it for a drive for a while and see how it feels. Temp gauge works, not over heating, gas, burning oil, etc....


but that is very FISHY... moving back to South Africa..im sure i would after i ripped someone off for $3200.

When have i said i wasn't listening to nobody? I go get the car check out and if it's not 100% okay, then i guess i'll just get my uncle's green 93 cb7, ex 5spd 59k bought brand new for 1500.

Its possibly one of the ugliest things I have ever saw, alongside my car.

 

Looks like you'll need new fenders too, the bumper is attached to them.

 

if he didn't **** it up by molding the bumber to the fendors you could definately part it off.......everythings in good shape....just needs paint, which usually isn't a big deal because if ppl are buying replacement body parts they need paint anyways....i can't tell from the pics, is all the white **** some sort of puddy or just fades or wut, cause if it looks like a puddy or anything then it's prolly there to cover up cracks n ****.....i imagine the interior is fine? headlights.... those altezza tail lights should sell pretty easy.....iunno, i don't think i'd buy it for driving, i'd want something more.... well, actually, see what your mechanic says about it's mechanical stability...... either way i'd prolly buy it and then figure out wut to do with it after.....make it 3500 tho....

 

a if it is still for sale i would like to by it tell him i will give him 2500 for it its alot of work but it gots potential

I picked up my 95 DC4 with high miles for around that price..though mine is in a little bit better condition. If you have your heart set on getting it already, then no matter what is said here is going to convince you otherwise. If you want it then get it, have fun with it, and turn it into a beautiful car.
