i have an 89 si hatch with a 94 h22a swap and need a new suspension bad i was wondering if anyone knows what would be good and approximatly how much its going to cost

 

i dont have any pics on my comp but i have a digital camera so i can take pics tommorow and post them up if u wanna see it

 

You will more than likely need a spring rate of 550~600 up front and 400~ in the rear to make that thing even want to handle

 

ill put them in here sometime tommorow when i get time its no problem

 

also there is a need for a camber kit. its off more than 3 degrees.

 

yea my guess on your suspension would be somethin stiff. once u think that u found the kit u want and u think u have the spring rates right stiffin it up a lil more. then u might be close. those big motor swaps into these little cars makes for funny handling. and even funnier times at the strip.

somebody suggested a type R suspension for the car, springs and shocks.
but i know that isn't ideal. cause it'll be having an integra with h22 in it.

do they make full coilover kits for EF hatches??

Progress, JIC magic, and H&R are a few companies that make full coilover kits for the 88-91 civic/crx.

That has to be alot of stress on the front end too.

I'm not sure of this but, adding a huge motor to a little car has to have some ill effects.

You also have to understand that the engine is BIG and The crx is SMALL.

It's going to do something. To disrupt a cars balance of weight signifacantly, usually does not result in a fine handeling machine.

ok, i know the ITR motor is a bitch with groud clearance due to the hight of it...

this has GOT to suck,

header in danger... radius rods, hitthing the engine...

hence it being unpopular... not to mention its heavy...

i cant believe that having that much weigt up front with stock shocks and springs.
