CEL 112 = "IAT Sensor Circuit Low Input"
Intake Air Temperature Circuit Low Input Voltage...
how do I go about checking this bad boy? and fixing... sheesh. don't wanna be gouged by a repair shop.

found a picture of it. Apparently it plugs right into the intake manifold on the driver's side.
