Anybody know where I can find an authentic Mugen kit for the del Sol. I called King and guess they have been discontinued.

disco'd since 1998...
the kit consists of a front bumper, side skirts and a rear wing. HATER on H-T has this kit, only person I know that has it.
some time last year, the front bumper was sold on eBay for 2400.00 usd, I lost it, my max bid was 2000.00
the rear wing from the same same seller sold for 1300.00
Good luck in your search, Japan is probably the only place that would have one used or new laying around, but thats a lot of effort to find or you can always have someone custom make it for you or buy the knock off and modify it.

Yeah I'm so tempted to get a replica but after the INGS replica for my RSX I vowed never to get a replica ever again cuz I ended up paying the same, getting the darm thing to fit right.

well no one makes a replica of the side skirts, erebuni or vis makes the front bumper, but you may need to fill in the aux light holes. as for the wing, there use to be someone on http://www.darksol.com that made them, but that was a long while ago.
This is the closest that I could get mine, minus the Mugen side skirts

H-T's Hater (http://www.cardomain.com/ride/326487) is probably the only one that I've seen with everything on

just a front bumper is $2,400?? man i can never justify paying that much for a bumper
thing is wasnt the official mugen polyurathane, not fiber glass? Cuz thats would explain the price. Yeah I've always wanted that front end too, made outta urathane less prone to cracking.
I found this replica and these guys are pretty reputable. I have first hand exp with VIS and lets just say that I have had the kit for a year now and I'm still trying to make it fit right.
Check this out... it doesn;t have the aux light holes, If I can't get a used set from Japan, I'm getting this...

I guess I'm a late bloomer as far as far as jumping on the del Sol bandwagon is concerned. I actually ended up getting my car by accident. I was in the process of doing a K20 swap on an EG hatch when my car was taken away by the city for unpaid parking tickets by the previous owner. It wasn't worth it getting the car back out since I only paid 200 for it and have sold the D16z6 for 300 so i didn't really lose out any money plus the extensive damage in the front finally got me really discouraged. I started my search for a new shell and I ran into this bad boy... It's a 97 DOHC VTEC w/o the VTEC LOL. Anyway, I figured since the Sol is getting a new soul, I wanted it to look JDM and not too much like a "chick car".

Have no clue but I imagine a couple lbs of fiberglass and countless hours of sanding and shaping could make this look like the real thing. The one on the site looks awesome but who knows how much they spent on making that look right or if that was even a replica. For all we know, that could be an authentic kit looking all perfect to lure us all in.
