Default whistling sound?

engine:

b20/b18c1 vtec..stock enternals
competion clutch
akimota cold air intake
msd wires
rsr cat-back exhust
hondata IM gasket
hondata s200

Alright, at partial throttle, i hear like a whistling sound. Its like in every gear, bewteen 3,000-5,000 rpms, at parial throttle. Kinda sounds like a turbo spool...dont have a turbo, so whats the sound? thanks......Also, got one more thing. I need a cat, thats high-flow, and fits a 94 gsr. AND its proven on ur teg to produce power. Cuz i just bought a cat didnt know if it made a diff, but, it tottaly took my power away. Checked my records from previous owener, had a Random Technology cat-back, hi-flow, 3inch in/out. but i dont wanna spend 270.00 on that...So whats out there, besides a test-pipe. All i heard was Magnaflow carsound cat.....nemore..also, can i get website addressess too plz. Thanks a lot.

whistling is your intake, buy a carsound cat, dont buy a testpipe. carsound will get you same power gains but u still get the benefits of a cat

Not to steal your thread, but my car have the whistling sound from the rear suspenson/brake. Everytime when I make a turn or step on the brake, the sound is gone. But when I start driving straight that whistling noise is sooo loud that people can hear me half a street down.

yeah you will need to tell them your year, model and trim. The cat you bought at the shop may have been just a stock one or one like it. IMO i wouldnt go any less then 2.5" on exhaust.

what type of header are you running? depends on the size of the header collector, thats what you want for your cat. what size is the piping for the rsr exhaust? and carsound is the way to go.

http://www.kteller.com/store/index.php/cPath/23_25
$80

give them a call, i got my carsound with the flanges and o2 bung for like $100 shipped
