Default exhaust is done for the most part (pics)

Well, this weekend I finally decided to get my exhaust on the car. I thought it would be a generally easy install after doing many exhausts. Some fabrication and modifying was needed but it is done for the most part. (shortening the b-pipe, not being able to find a donut gasket, so I used one that happened to be 2.5 in for a 1958-1995 GMC V8 , making a new bracket for the header and some other little things)

I also want to thank some people, because i never had any trouble ordering the parts from fellow H-T members and sponsors:

- Ausmith for the Mugen 4-2-1 header
- Dbl Ey! for the JDM ITR cat
- Redstone Motors for the JDM ITR b-pipe
- AJ-R for the Spoon N1 axle back

and what is this thread without pics??? First off, dont flame the paint and 98+ body styling (happens in every pic i put up, thats the next project once the snow falls)

sorry about the blurry pics, i was in a hurry and no tripod, but you all know what it is. plus, im really happy that the Spoon lined up as well as it did just by shortening the b-pipe

There shouldn't have been any need to modify the B pipe unless you are using a sedan b pipe. Is that the case?

well, im not sure. once we bolted the b-pipe up, it was bumping into the heatshield on the gas tank, oh well. but once we test fitted the Spoon, it was too long by about 2-3 inches. after cutting and welding up really quick, it fit just fine But just like you i wasnt expecting that to happen.

I only made my post so that it's clear that a full (header/cat/catback) JDM length exhaust will fit directly on a USDM ITR.

I've got a Greddy Evo2 catback with one resonator and it's ******* obnoxious.

True: I run the Mugen JDM Header & Mugen Twin Loop Exhaust with a JDM 2.5" Kakimoto Test Pipe on my USDM ITR. This set up bolted up perfect without modifying or welding anything.

I am kind of curious why you had to cut the stock JDM B-Pipe?
