Default Poor Mans Type R......with CTR pistons.

Ok, so I have searched throughout this board and have not found a definitive answer anywhere. What would CTR pistons in a 95 JDM b18c (GSR) with an 00 b16 head yield? If it is excessively high then I will go with JDM ITR. We do have 93 octane here as well. Discuss.

go with the JDM ITR, or P30? the CTR i heard is way too much compression maybe even above 12:1. but dont think you will gain much more than you need compaired to the JDM ITR unless tuning ofcourse. good luck.

Here calculate it yourself

http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...c.php

Also, explain your goals/use for the car, compression in the 12 range might be too high for a Daily Driver etc.

Well, it will somewhat be a daily driver. Again I have 93 octane here so having 12:1 is fine. Also that calculator to my knowledge is bugged and isnt precise. If running the CTR pistons on a daily driven car is too much, let me know. That is what I am trying to figuvre out.

better to post in either the all motor or tech portion of HT. They're probably going to tell you to search, I remember a VERY long thread about this exact subject in the all motor board.
