ok, lets clear something up. "ricer" and "bling" dont belong in the same sentence. i know that Ja Rule told you different, but honestly, what do rappers know about hondas? and how many hondas do you see at the track blingin?

Yeah, which Willwood kit? There are multiple.

couple more questions...

Do you have wheels to clear larger willwood brakes if necessary?

Do you have the need for big expensive and useless brakes on the street? Or do you use them at a track?

In this case the four lug means less weight and bigger brakes. How do you figure the five lug has more potential?...This is an opinion that I wanted to hear.

Less weight and in this case of the trade i've been offered...bigger brakes.

Are you serious? Ricer and the N-bomb....Im sorry if you're asian.. I meant nothing by it other then the fact that I drive a Integra and Im comfortable enough with my car and myself to use the term freely.

Here are some bling track cars...

And my little "Rice-rocket."

In that case then....if you weren't planning on getting it for the 5 lug....then why not? Seems like a fair trade.

well ok it seems like the guy is short changing himself in my opinion....especially if you're both also trading the rims n tires to go with it ( as long as they're equivalent in value )

Who the hell is he arguing with?? I picture a kid in a corner talking to himself while big people are talking

Keep the 5-lug. Then take your time with your car and just save up for a big brake kit for your 5-lug, and some bigger wheels, then you would have the best of both worlds.

When offered the exact same deal about 8 months ago, I politely said "no."

If 4 lug is lighter, then why was it necessary to change it to 5 lug? And now its going back to 4 lug again? Is it really worth the money? U gota change the the rims as well.

You definitely have a point. Oh...and I take back what I said about him short changing you in terms of the value of your set up. I went to a website that stated it can cost anywhere from $550 - $650 for the wilwood set up. And...they only made it for the fronts too. Nothing was made for the rears ( that I could find ). Not bad though. But if you do go through with the trade, he'd better give you some worth while wheels because the 5 lug conversion itself can range from $800 - $1200 depending on where you go/ who you get it from and what comes with it.

well, i think its more of a pain to always get wilwood pads, with the 5lug you have a good option of pads out there, potential was the wrong word to use,

it does weigh more, and you can run 15's w/5lug and wilwood depending on which one you can't, if your going to roadrace/autox 15 are easy to access and typically cheap...

just something to think about..its a tough situation..

Thanks for all of your opinions...

IT really was a hard decision to make so thats why I posted this thread. I guess Ill look into larger brakes for my current setup...it just seems that I would be improving for free but I dunno.

Thanks guys.

Have you considered the Spoon calipers? They'll save you a considerable amount of weight over the stock front calipers and give a considerable increase in clamping pressure while using stock pads.

Also with my 5 lug setup I ran the 9 spoke Mazda Millenia wheels. They cost me $150 for the set, are the exact size and offset of stock ITR wheels, and only weigh about 11 lbs each.

I have been considering a brake upgrade and thats why I thought this one might be a good move...after thinking about today and driving my car around on the new pads and rotors, I think I will be looking for just a caliper upgrade. I'd like to stay away from spoon because everyone and their MOM has them installed around here.
