Need your advice on buying a ITR. There is this ITR my friend is selling with a salvage title with 57.000 miles on it, you think its worth 8,000 for it? I dont know too much about salvage titles, does it make the car depreciate in value? Can you guys explain to me the negative aspects of owning a salvage title car?

 

What was it salvaged for? And what condition is it in? I am going to bet that it worth maybe 10-12 grand. Even with the salvage title.

 

yeah 8000 for a REAL ITR isn't bad just make sure it's fixable and find out what it was salvaged for...

 

salvage means there was some kind of issue such as theft and strip, or crash damage, which the cost of repair exceeds the value of the vehicle. if it was wrecked and is salvaged because of that, you need to know the extent of the damage before you buy. if it was stolen and stripped (like 90% of ITRs out there) then it might not be anything to worry about. the kink is that you may never get the whole story no matter how much you think you know. that being said, a lot of cars only have clean titles because insurance wasn't involved and they fixed the damage on their own. my point? get someone qualified to look at the car.

 

yeah as long as u can find out wny it has the salvaged title and its not too bad you should buy it cause thats a killer deal.

 

make sure it's a typr R engine also
