Default clicking from front suspension

I am getting a clicking sound from what seems to be the passenger front suspension. If I am driving at constant throttle and tap the gas, not all the way to the floor, and when starting to move in first gear from a light this sound occurs. It sounds like an axle but no noise on turns and also I just had the axles out when doing my transmission and there were no apparent rips in the boots.
I still have to "shakedown" the suspension, but when I was also doing the trans the balljoints and bushings looked fine. Any ideas as what this "clicking" sound may be?

This has been a very common "problem" on our cars, over the years. I've been putting up with it for probably 3.5 years now. It kinda sounds like two coins tapping each other, but louder right?

No one has ever solved the problen.

Now that I have my engine out, I can replicate the noise by turning the input shaft of the tranny by hand.

I'm going to ignore it until something breaks.

Do you think it has something to do with the trans even tho it is brand new?

I just think it's "normal". Turn up your stereo.

Does it sound like its come from a different corner of the car every time? Thats what mine sounds like. It seriously sounds like a ping pong ball being ounced on the table.

I have the ping noise too. But I'm actually kinda of used to it by now. From what I've researched it could be: axle, castle nuts, axle nut, any nut not tightened in the suspensenion area, (driver side only, half shaft bearing), or motor mounts. I personally think its the motor mounts on mine. I havn't touched any of these parts yet but I plan on doing the m mounts first. Maybe get my hands on some spoons

I asked this question 2-3 years ago. Finally fixed it....

Okay, so I dont know EXACATALLY what the problem was, BUT, I just got a new clutch put in(flywheel, pressure plate, disk, throwout bearing), and now the noise is gone!!!

What this tells me is the clicking sound so many of our cars make is most likely from something thats loose. Not from something broken or wornout(being that the clutch was the only thing replaced). Someone who knows how to change a clutch in a teg might be able to give more insight into whats probably coming loose to cause the clicking.

Hope this helps....

I am not sure how to search to find the multiple threads about this issue, but in each thread I responded that my "clicking" noise was fixed simply by loosening and then retorqueing the axle bolts or just replacing the axle nuts and making sure they are torqued properly.

I had the motor out in my Toyota, and when I put it back in, I didn't properly tighten one of the mounts. It was making exactly the same noise.

Also, are the ball joints installed properly?

The Ping Pong noise can be from your lowering springs (if you have any). When the coils are really close together they sometimes tap. The noise that sounds like change or like metal hitting metal is your heat shield. It is hitting something on your nuckle. If you bend it right, the noise will go away. My car didnt make noise until i lowered it. Then it started making the same EXACT noise everyone here is describing.
