ITR go smashy
This has not been a good week for my ITR. First it gets keyed on the passenger side on Sunday and just a few minutes ago, her face gets smashed in.
I was driving home from the bank on a road that declines down a hill. The light ahead of me, turns green and everyone ahead of me is driving. As I am approaching the light, the car in front of me decides to suddenly brake. I tried my best to bring the car to a stop, but the combination of worn hawk brakes and a declining hill was just too much to overcome. My car starts sliding and rams into the car in front of me. We pull over and check the damage and then exchange information. The damage to her '95 civic is barely noticable, just two imprints from the front license holes. My car, on the otherhand, has her front end pushed in. Pictures will be up soon.
Does anyone know of any good shops in the San Diego area?

I'll ask the stupid questions:
Was there a cop preasent to evaluate wreck?
Did you specifically ask the cop to ask the other driver as to why she suddenly braked?
If not, did you tell the cop this specific detail?
It'll get fixed

So Cal drivers:
Sucks bro! Let me know what shop you go with, I'm going to need to find one myself to get my front lip resprayed and a CF hood at some point.

No cop was contacted because she had an important appointment to get to and did not want to waste more time.
Here are the pictures:

Does not look to bad, until you get to this one:

LoL, no I will not go with a JDM nose, I rather enjoy the USDM more.

She totally caught me off gaurd. Everyone was going speed limit and then all of a sudden, she just brakes. I think my initial shock kind of affected my reaction time a little. Insurance is going to have a nice day.

Yeah that is why I put pushed in and not smashed. The thing that disturbs me is that her car barely got scathed and the ITR recieves the blunt of the damages. The gap in the 3rd picture between the fender and bumber is pretty big, it looks like the engine is peeking out saying "hello."
Now lets see what you are up against.
Oh and does anyone know of any good shops in the San Diego area?

In my old Civic Si I was rearended by a Grand Cherokee and it caused $6,000 worth of damage to my car and you could not tell that the Jeep had been in an accident, I was rather pissed because the girl was talking on her cell phone and didn't even brake.
not entire too bad :/ important thing...you arent hurt so thats what counts
besides...look at Dave's haha you shouldnt really be complaining compared to his

That 95 civic must have been lifted or the muffler coming out of the trunk. Seems that the exhaust hit you where the bumper shouldve. The reason she got away with little damage was because it looks like you practically went under her. I'm wondering if she kinked her exhaust.
Oh **** I remember those pictures. Yeah that is really bad.

Yeah, hopefully someone who is more knwoledgable about shops in San Diego can point me in the direction of a good auto body and paint shop so that I can get my car back on the road soon.

Sorry to hear about that. At least you're okay and the car can be fixed. Although it's not in the San Diego area there is a body shop that I trust with my car and it's at the Acura of Riverside. The managers name is Anthony and he's the type to go the extra mile 951 785-0216. I had some haters key my car a while back which is one of the reasons I try not to take it out as much. It sucks to work so hard to take care of a car and then have some jelous idiot come and hate on your ride I feel your pain.
