I attempted to test my pcv valve on my B18C today without taking it off the engine so I clamped the hose to see if it made a clicking noise but unfortunatley the engine bay seems to be too loud to hear that little thing make any kind of noise if any but the engine idle did go down from 1500 (cold engine) to 1000 when I clamped it and then went back up when I released it. Does this mean that the PCV Valve is in fact still good?

 

If you can pull it from the engine real quick, shake it to see if it rattles. If it does it's good.

If you want to replace it for peace of mind, they're cheap as well.
