Default Blitz Power Meter ID

Anyone have it on their car and how you like it?

Did it give consistence horsepower reading? I am thinking of getting one as a rough tuning device to see if I gain or loss power after I change the fuel setting(VAFC and FPR), so I can get a better starting point when I go to the dyno. (Don't want to spend whole day on a dyno, too expensive!! )

the power meter will be just as expensive as a few days at the dyno. It is around 500-600 if i remember correctly.

Nope, it is less than $300usd for sure. And if the horsepower reading is consistence, I would able to play around with difference setting when the weather change.

i dont have real life experience with it but i heard it is not all that accurate.

nothing beats a dyno, but if ur just making minute changes or ur far away from a dyno it maybe worthwhile. u should prolly ask this in like a rx7 or supra forum i heard a few ppl on those boards have them.

Hi Leo, I just notice that your name on HT!!

Anyways, I am not looking for accurate number, so if it say my car make only 100 hps, it is fine with me as long as it give me 100hps everytime. (not 100hps in one run and 170hps in the 2nd run) So I would know which setting make me gain hps and which setting make me loss hps.

wow 300 isnt bad, but if it isnt that accurate doesnt seem worth it.

However, seems like it would work great with the sbc-i boost controller. They had a review on this a few motnhs back in turbo mag. Good article.

even tho its under 300 i personally would still not get it, i'd use that money towards real dyno (gosh sounds bad on my part since i sell blitz but hey i tell it like i see it)

matt, that i think u'd really have to ask the turbo guys that run the sbc-iD with the power meter and i know not too many guys on H-T have this combo IF any. like i say i'd ask the rx7 or supra guys if u can

It's actually pretty accurate for us WRX folks. Works pretty well.

i've seen em go for less then $150 on the gbc...and anyone who says they aren't accurate has never personally used one. I borrowed a friend's for 2 months and the horsepower/torque ratings were always consistant and accurate.

The lowest I see is still higher than $200usd, never see them below $200. Are you sure you are talking about the same thing?

Nice to hear that it give accurate reading. I wonder how's it when compare to the Apex'i RSM w/ G-force sensor?? But all I hope for on this is it give consistence horsepower read out, so I would know if the engine make more or less number after I change the setting.

I figure that if I spend a few days on the street tuning with this unit, I would safe an hour or two on the dyno.
