Default A/C question

Hi!

I have a 1996 DX coupe (D16Y7) with A/C...

My question is: is there a CABIN FILTER for A/C in my car???

I looked under the dasboard behind the glovebox and found something like this:

http://repo.jackmoves.com/album228/SANY0851

So, is there a cabin filter somewhere inside, and if there is, how can I replace it?

I searched but found nothing...

I don't believe Honda began using them until 2001.

My friend has a 1996 EX coupe (D16Y8) and his car HAS A CABIN FILTER!!!

But also, his BLACK BOX behind the glovebox looks a bit different... you can SEE the filter when you take off the glovebox... you just pull it out and replace it...

But when I take off my glovebox, everything is "closed" like on that picture from the 1st post... I see no filter holder or nothing... do you see the difference???

If it looks like the first one I dont think you have one, I belive the filter was an option on the cars back then so it dident necisary come with one unless the original buyer ordered it with one installed.
