Default What Motor Does This...

What I'm curious about is I am going to Louisiana to help clean up. They are going to give me $10K to help so I'm going to swap a motor in my eg6. Which motor (B16SIR2, B18B/Vtec, B18C1, B18C5, H22A, K20) can, with modifications, Reach Very High RPM's. It would be a All-Motor Build. Just curious what motor has the MOST potential for High RPM's and Capable of Producing power all the way to 10K-11K.

Don't Ask Why I want a car that can hit 10k-11k, It's Just something I've always had a Mahogany for!!!

DD=daily driver, and your better off puting a motorcycle engine in your car if you want to rev that high on a daily basis. Your better building something custom that has a rod to stroke ratio of 2.xx so you can rev it sky high and not worry.

I'd probably go with the B16A2 bottom end with forged internals and upgraded fasteners, just for the best piston speed, piston acceleration and decelleration, piston dwell time at TDC and BDC, piston side loads, cylinder loading, and bearing loads. Or maybe even a B18 block with B16 crank, then get some even longer rods in there. Of course it would be kind of pointless, as you can make more power with other setups, but if all I was worried about was revving it high, then I'd want a small crank and long rods. Hell, with 10K you could get a Dart tall-deck block, B16 crank, and custom rods, but I don't know if there are benefits to going over 1.75 on your R/S ratio, although I think F1 R/S ratios are around 2.5.

NOTE - I wouldn't actually do any of the aforementioned things, hell, I run a 95mm crank! The remarks here are for entertainment/intellectual exercise/off-road-use purposes only, so don't bother flaming me about what a stupid idea it is for an all-motor build.

P.S. - If you do build a 10-11K motor, then make sure you post the results.
