itr paint pro;s i need help
ok ok i have searched and i know the paint code and all that good stuff. i just want to see if anyone has run into this problem. i got paint order nh-592p and gave them the 11th digit of my vin.
anyways my question is on the paint it says starlight black mica. and well the paint doesnt match to well. way too much pearl in it. is the paint suppose to be starlight black mica or flamenco black pearl. they both share the exact code. my car is a 2000 black itr. i donno i am confused as hell. just seeing if anyone else has experience the same problem. thanks. and oh yea when i am done i will post before and after pictures of restoring number 00-0554

You can't expect paint according to the code to match the paint on the body of a car. Paint changes color over time, due to exposure to sun and the elements, etc. That's why a really good body shop has people with an expert eye, who can mix paint to match the color that's actually on the car, rather than just relying on the paint to match based on the code.
Sounds like you don't have much experience with body repairs, huh? If you really care about how good it looks, you might want to take it to a professional...
yes i know that. i am just confused on the starlight black mica and then the flamenco black pearl codes being the same. was wonderin if anyone has ever ran into the same problem. i know it wont match exactly, but this is clearly different and not even close. it also says that starlight black mica is canadian. so i donno. i am just tryin to figure out if the paint place messed up or what.
have you looked here http://www.itrca.com/FAQ/general/colors.php ?
and yes a proper shop would have nail the paint ont he first try.

thanks for the replies. came to the conclusion that the morons who mixed the paint obvioiusly didnt give a **** if my paint matched or not. so i got new paint from another place.
also everyplace i called it ended up being starlight black mica. i even called acura and thats what they had too for the 2000 itr. so o-well i will post pictures of the whole car when i am done. including a write up.
