Default New owner of 98-0072

Well today is my first day with my ITR...I love the car...never driven anything like it...me and my friend "ATHFlshatch" drove from D.C to Northwest Alabama nonstop...the day hasnt went so well tho because within the first 12 hours I had my first accident...Near Woodstock Virginia we had a little mishap on interstate 81. What I think was a wolf (no joke ) decided to run into the front left corner of the R at around 60 mph, the animal was literally cut in half and half of it flew by my window and the other half turned into a speedbump directly under my car. I will post pics tomm of the damage but it wasnt as severe as i figured it would be, smashed my turn signal lense, spider webbed my paint, and took out a few dime size peices of my CW paint

But non the less, Im very excited to own the R.

Here is a pic of the damage after i put in a clear turn signal lense of course...some ppl might not think its alot but to me it sure is : /

here is a pic of the rest of the car:

Damn that sucks that a wolf wanted to commit suicide by using your car. The damage does not look as bad as I would have expected from hitting a wolf at 60 mph. I hope you have better luck down the line.

You should have taken some pictures of the wolf, as a new own picture.

ebelp - who drives past Woodstock on I-81 at least once a month and hasn't seen any wolves yet. *crosses fingers*

congrats on the new R! I had similar damage on 81 but from a block of wood falling off the back of a truck and plowing my front end. Also, hit a big ole chunk of semi truck tire on 81 which took out a nice area of paint on my front lip

Reminds me of a friends run in with creatures of the furry kind. He was drivin his civic hatch down a windy street near our neighborhood that has woods on both sides. As he rounds a corner, a raccoon is making its way across the street rather slowly and by the time we reach him, its right smack in the middle of his front bumper. All we hear is one single *THUD* and i just look at him and say "20 bux says theres a raccoon head in ure grill". Well no head but theres a raccoon out there with one serious headache.

It used to be my car. It was the hardest decision I've had to make. I'm still not sure it was the right one... but time will tell.

Anthony, have fun with her and keep her safe. It was a pleasure dealing with you and I know she found a good home. Enjoy.

Once the baby is born and we figure out our finances I might be coming back to the R family. Right now I am cheating on h-t with a new subaru wagon. I'm on I-club and have parts ordered to fix the suspension and brakes already. No motor work, argeed with the wife suspension only.

I miss my R already, but i'll be back like so many other people who have sold theirs but returned later.

Donnie

Route 81 is not our safest Interstate. You might have noticed some sheer dropoffs and that the speed limit is much more closely monitored than elsewhere in Virginia, where they'll generally let you run up to 80 before they look twice.

Hope the rest of the car's life w/you is without incident.

That is, if you're a balding old man driving a dirty black Integra.
