Default Oil in spark plug hole?

Ok i went to take my valve cover off today, and discoverd a large amount of oil in the hole where my spark plugs are im thinking this happened because the gaskets that go below the valve cover are bad, any idea's why this happend.

Calm your horses because this is the real deal.

If you remove the rocker arms, you will see a seal for each spark plug hole attached to the rocker arm assembly. Just replace these 4 seals and also the seals on the valve cover. Be sure to follow the torque sequence when loosening and tighting the rocker arm bolts. Good luck and keep the peace.

First and foremost, shut the **** up and leave little man. You have no idea what you are talking about and you seem to think you are some sort of God. You have no presence here get out.

To the original poster:

If you purchase a valve cover gasket kit it comes with 4 small donut gaskets that go on the under side of the cover to seal off the spark plug holes. Those probably went bad.

The rocker arm assembly is mated to the head via threaded screws. There is a gasket for each spark plug hole to prevent oil from seeping between the rocker arm assembly and the head. Also, there is the typical valve cover seal for each spark plug hole.

It's not too hard. Just follow the torque sequence and your fine. But some of the bolts actually keep the rocker arm assembly together as it's lifted from the head. These are loosened but not removed and come out with the assembly. Otherwise you'll have springs and other things flying out in all directions. Get a manual and read up on it. Good luck.
