Default headgasket question

yes i searched but got tired after page 8

i know you should never re-use a head gasket, but my dipshit friend put it on his GSR the backwards, and it pissed oil everywhere. my one friend said he has re-used them before with no problem. but i say buy a new one even if the motor only ran for less then 15 secs. bc it was already torqued down .... what do you say?

car ran for 15 secs. or less with an oem honda gasket. re-use it or get a new one?

Yeah, if it got knicked or kinked at all when it was tightened down wrong, it's no good for sure. Replace it.

I say reuse it. If it leaks you already know what to do so you can redo it again faster.

the best and most wise decision would be too replace it with a new one. Whats the point of reusing it and then possibly having too do the job again in the near future with possibly more damage done to the engine that time. If you value your engines life than replace it, if you don't care and have lots of money to do this all the time then **** it. You could have mroe problems than just that if you keep it that way. TMO.
